Rise of the Phoenix by J.L. Madore
5.0
4.7 stars.
So far, I’m intrigued.
I am really enjoying the storyline’s beginning.
Meeting all of the guys and being told about their quest, before the quest.
I really enjoy seeing all the different personalities and reactions to Callie. It’s both frustrating and entertaining at the same time.
Definitely check TWs for this. The things mentioned from their terrible pasts are vague, but there’s also a piece of shit trucker that attempts sexual abuse on page. He doesn’t get far, but it’s a pretty dark moment for Callie and what happens right after doesn’t help.
I really liked it.
I also like that there was steam and sexy times in this first book. Usually there’s not and I appreciate that it was there. And the fact that it was pretty good. I like the dirty talk. Hopefully we see more and more of that. I can’t wait.
I am also super excited to see where this storyline takes us. It’s cool.
I’m totally in.
