King of Pride by Ana Huang
4.0
“Some people might say it was too early for Christmas movies, but those people would be wrong. It was October, which meant it was practically December.”
It’s silly little quotes like these that highlight the humour in this book, which was totally unexpected.
I loved the banter so much and both Kai and Isa were SO likeable. Isabella’s character was relatable in her feelings of being lost and not knowing her place in the world. Having characters like this often helps me feel more connected when there is the billionaire aspect involved.
However, the tough part about loving an author and their series is that you compare subsequent books to the ones you’ve read beforehand. In my case, I definitely liked King of Wrath better so this book paled a little in comparison
