Before writing a review, I had to let this book settle in me.
I have gone from nearly DNF'ing to loving, to being neutral.
This book is beautifully written. It is a perfect read for late autumn/winter as it gives cosy, by the fire vibes.
You really feel you are the spectator looking in on a magical circus.
My main problem with this book was not really connecting to any of the characters. Maybe it's because I am not used to reading 3 person books, or the fact that we did not get a lot of time to really get to know them. The time jumping also did not help.
In the end, it's a 3.75 🌟 for me.
If you don't mind a VERY soft magic system, set in the real world but with beautiful prose, go ahead and read this book :)
