Leather and Lace.

Ever since I heard (read!) these words from the mouth of Blackie in Uncontrollable Temptations, I have been waiting to get my hands on his story - and I JUST KNEW that it would be explosive - but I didn't know that it would also break my heart.

While this is a standalone book - it takes almost after Uncontrollable Temptations and side by side during the Reckless Temptations - FYI.

Blackie is the VP of Satan's Knights MC - and the best of the President, Jack Parish. He has been by Jack's side through all the rough tumbles the MC faced, but he also lost enough for him to slowly side down the path of addiction - be it alcohol or heroin.

Lacey Parish, on the other hand, is a woman battling demons - demons that she has seen her father battle - but has never really understood in herself. She fell for Blackie, when she was a teenager, and even though he was happily married at that time, kept a torch lit for him.

Yes, I have purposefully made sure that I don't give away a lot of the plot - it's mostly because me even giving you the barest hint gives away the whole freaking plot.

The lot is quite simple - a girl meets an older man, falls for him - the man falls back, but believes that doing anything will jeopardize his relationship not only with his best friend but also with his club.

Yes, the plot is simple - but the emotions, the emotions felt, definitely aren't!

This book is raw - everything in it - from the drug abuse to the mental illness, to the old/young pairing is handled with utmost honesty and rawness that literally takes your breath away and you just can't help but feel and admire the inner strength of the characters.

And the wait for Leather and Lace was over. And it was pure perfection.

She would be my death. But I’d remember her in the depths of hell. The innocent girl with the sad eyes that begged me to take her pain away.
