An interesting fictional read about an important issue. I found parts of the plot too far-fetched to accept without additional information. Specifically a husband and father in 18th century England taking to his bed with long-term depression being accepted as part of the family’s life. This seems better suited to modern culture. The future narrative specifically moved very slowly. It wouldn’t have worked without being interspersed with the other 2 narratives.

First read in English, then listened to the audiobook in Swedish.
