The Echo of Regret by Jillian Liota

3.0

The second chance romance tale of Bishop and Gabi had me cheering for their relationship from the start. I loved Bishop's cocky yet care-free personality and Gabi's permanent scowl and distrust. Their history was a typical young love story, pulled apart by college and career dreams. You could definetely feel their love and care for one another and I liked how the author showed their individual and coupled growth.

Where The Echo of Regret fell a little flat for me was the pacing and drama. The story seemed to drag on a bit without much happening. I kept waiting for some spark and excitement but the plot stayed pretty tame and predictable. I would have liked to see a bit more tension, maybe a bigger blow up between the couple or a wrench thrown in their plans. Something to keep me hanging on. I adored the ending and it really made me anxious for Busy's story!

It was a good read overall and flowed well with the rest of the series.
