The Burning Bridge by John Flanagan

4.0

I was half expecting this book to not be as good as I had remembered but I was so wrong. Everything about this entry is just so well done.

Characters, like in Ruins of Gorlan, are great, well-written and imperfect. The book is paced really well, there is enough quiet moments to build characters but also clever action bits that even keep you guessing what is going to happen next. This also ties into the story which, unlike Ruins of Gorlan, is actually really engaging and sets up a story for the books after.

All and all, great book!
