After what felt like ages, I finally read and finished this installment of the series. I loved seeing Jamie and Claire at this point in their lives with all their various family members. It's so heartwarming to see how far they've come from book one. There was also still so much action and new things to come even after nine books. I couldn't believe this book ended with a cliffhanger and certain things happening and I have no idea when book 10 will make an appearance. While this is a book that is a bit slower and deserves to be savored, some of it reads super quick. I always enjoy the multiple POVs and find myself longing for the characters I've grown to love so much. Claire and Jamie are top tier of course, but I feel like so many of the secondary characters really found their footing here as well. Overall, I really liked reading this behemoth of a book and I'll look forward to the next one as always.
