The Last Policeman was a well written, engaging sci-fi mystery. A happy random gift to me. I started this book while traveling, and was quickly one third of the way through. I found Winters' writing style easy and smooth to read.

My favorite part of the story was the world building. It was interesting to see how the author dealt with the scenario he created, in regards to how society as a whole and individuals would react to the circumstances. I thoroughly enjoyed the choices Winters made.

Fast paced read well worth your time.
