Scythe by Neal Shusterman
5.0
This was an exceptional dystopian novel.
I have never up until this point read any of Neal Shusterman's work, even though I have heard he is a great dystopian/world building/fantasy author. This book was SO good.
It was really interesting to have the whole concept of a world with all the information to conquer starvation and poverty and then such things as death. One of the most thought provoking lines was when Citra was thinking about what it wuld have been like to live in the 'Age of Mortality' - which is basically now - when you could die at any moment. She further goes on to think you wouldn't take any risks for the fear of being killed permanently without any revival every second of your existence.
The themes of knowledge, good and evil and immortality created a genuinely interesting book to read. Along with an amazing storyline which really captivates anyone as I got SO invested in these characters.
I will definitely be picking up Thunderhead soon and The Toll comes out in 2019, so not that long to wait!
