This is the first John Green novel I read and although I'm definitely not a YA anymore, I can see the appeal his books have on youngsters. It's a quality I can appreciate in adults, that they haven't forgotten what it feels like to be 16 years old. I hope I never will.
The fact that I'm finishing this book on the birthday of one of my YA friends who also died in a car accident might make me more amenable to the story.
