I wanted to love this a lot more than I did, but it was still enjoyable.

I loved that science topics were written in simple language that was easy to comprehend but still a lot of stuff went over my head (which is okay) the main character is absolutely hilarious, but since the whole book takes place in his first person POV, it could get really grating to continue being in his head at times which really slowed my progress at finishing this book. The set up also takes a bit too long, forcing you to spend time with said main character, alone, for a bit too long before the plot actually picks up. Overall this was really funny and enjoyable, with a loveable cast of characters both past and present and a deeply fascinating premise and a loveable, sometimes annoying, reluctant hero.
