Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
5.0
This was a wonderful book that really got me into the autumn spirit! Ray Bradbury tells a terrific story about two boys on their first adult journey, and a father who gets to have one last boyish adventure. Both ending in the same place, Dark and Cooper's traveling carnival. The whole book is written very poetically and the imagery is phenomenal, I can almost see, feel, and taste the carnival and fall while I'm reading. It reminds the reader of their childhoods, the responsibilities of adulthood, and death all while sending a message to not worry so much and just enjoy life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who isn't easily taken away from a story full of descriptions and metaphors. My only complaint is that I wish I would have read this when I was a teenager because I get the feeling you appreciate different character's perspectives the older you get.
