Spectacular ✨

Personally, I loved this book.
It’s always a pleasure going back to this magical world and reading about these characters that feel so familiar to me. ♥️🎩

I thought this was a very unique take on a holiday novella. It was cheerful and full of wonder and magic, while at the same time being a bit dark and unsettling.  🍭🎭

Garber’s stories always have a darker undertone to it. Caraval was all about illusions and manipulation, so it’s not surprising for this novella’s plot to go that route. It’s all a game. A very twisted one indeed but that’s what this world’s cemented on in my opinion. ✨🖤

I don’t get why Tella and Legend get so much hate. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to have a whole Scarlett and Julian novella, but I also love Tella and Legend. In fact, I was a bit sad that we didn’t get more of them at the end. ❣️

Spoiler ahead ⚠️⚠️
Speaking of the end, I didn’t see that coming. I was a bit fooled thinking Legend wasn’t actually him when he kidnapped Tella. It was a bit nerve wracking thinking Tella would let another man treat her like that. So I was so happy and relieved when it was revealed she was the one to ask to be kidnapped all along. Yes, she was also fooled at first, but she knew the entire time when Legend touched her that it was him!

I loved loved this novella. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
