There's so many awful books from the fifties onward that became critically-acclaimed for no reason. Most of them are stuffed with unfunny jokes and goofy character names that you'd expect more from a corny Reddit user than any world-famous novelist. Although it doesn't suck as much as anything by Thomas Pynchon, this is still pretty bad.
