The Rithmatist by Brandon Sanderson

5.0

I have read many of Sanderson’s books in the past and have always enjoyed his work, and this time was no different. Sanderson has a way of coming up with the most unique and interesting stories and his imagination never ceases to amaze me. The book was good, although sometimes a little predictable, and I did enjoy it. I did notice at times though that it felt rather familiar to me in that it seemed similar to some of his other books I have read. I found myself comparing it to other books I liked more where I felt he presented the story better and I did feel he left some gaps in the story, but these might be explained in the following books. Overall though it was exciting and fast-paced and had an interesting concept, as Sanderson’s books always do, and I really did enjoy it and could not put it down at certain points. If you like Sanderson then it is definitely worth a read and I look forward to the rest of the series.
