Immortal Dark is a truly infuriating (in the best way possible) slow-burn enemies-to-lovers situation done in exceptionally beautiful prose. Twisty and unexpected and with several “WTF!” moments that kept me on my toes. Kidan is a complex, twisted, and morally grey character done right, and Susenyos is hilarious, brooding, and lethal. I loved the loyalty between Susenyos and his two closest friends Taj and Iniko; such lethal ramps with a bond so human-like in its earnestness and devotion. The ending is definitely one helluva a cliffhanger that also leaves you satisfied.
