Blackout had everything I look for in a book:
1) A ton of my favorite authors (and audiobook narrators) and their incredible writing!
2) A creative plot - or... multiple plots that all merge together, I suppose.
3) Phenomenal representation (cultures, sexual orientations, etc) and seriously strong characters.
4) PURE JOY.
Let me touch on that last part: there was joy exuding through every story throughout this novel. I felt myself smiling almost the entire way through. Sure, not everything was "easy" or "perfect" but each separate story had a HEA and an underlying joyful feeling.
I listened to the entire audiobook in one afternoon and didn't want it to end. This is definitely a book I'm going to pick up over and over again. It was absolutely excellent!
