idk maybe I'm picky. maybe I'm in a rut where I haven't read even a four star in forever. but this was just okay. the serial killer parts just felt like they didn't matter, but also neither did any other part of the plot. nothing felt fleshed out and I just wanted more from this.

there is a page at the beginning with more detailed CW, but I want to mention in CW: consensual sex while unconscious. plus all the other obvious ones like detailed murder, kidnapping, etc., but that one felt the most important to mention.
