Nightbirds by Kate J. Armstrong

3.0

Nightbirds is a difficult one for me to review as there are things I believe Armstrong did really well, but overall I struggled to enjoy the story. I loved the concept of strong, powerful women with unique magic. However, I didn’t really connect with any of the main characters making it difficult for me to connect with the overall story. Another aspect I enjoyed was the roaring 20s-esque setting to the story. I also felt the audiobook was a good way to approach this book and may be the main reason I finished it. I felt the narrator did a good job of distinguishing between the different POVs.
