Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World by Cal Newport

3.0

This is the 4th Cal Newport book I’ve read, after How to Win at College, How to be a Straight A Superstar, and Deep Work, a personal favorite. This book was probably the least engaging and informative out of all of them. Having already executed most of the generic advice Newport shares for attaining a digital minimalist lifestyle, I was disappointed in the “research” and “practice examples” provided. The research is more anecdotal drivel from anti-digital extremists. If you want a book that’s more hands on and detailed, read “How To Break Up With Your Phone” .
