Sighs By The Sea by Andrea Goeppert

2.0

Sighs By The Sea didn’t really do it for me. I didn’t connect with Maggie or Grayson, and I thought Maggie was very immature. She had a borderline “no means no” moment where she really pushed too much; if the man had pushed the same way, I don’t think people would’ve been ok with it. I didn’t like the side characters, other than Harry. The family just seems like jerks. I couldn’t find anything redeeming about them. Also, at no point in this book did I think there was anything remotely funny. I’m not sure how this book is billed as a romantic comedy. Literally, nothing funny. Maybe Tommy, a side character, with his somewhat irreverent behavior, but that would be pushing it for me.

I liked the chemistry between Maggie and Grayson, and I thought Georgie was a cutie, but that’s about the extent of my enjoyment, unfortunately.

I received an ARC of Sighs By The Sea from BookSirens. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
