The Misremembered Man by Christina McKenna
5.0
A Brilliant Novel
This was an incredible, compelling story that is extremely well written. I found the dialogue in particular to be expertly crafted, without being overly done as in some novels. My husband and all of his family are from Derry and I thought the dialogue and tendencies of all characters were true to life. The cruelty and abuse described in the orphanage was hard to read at times, but I found that it was necessary to understand Jaime, and to the understanding of how many of those institutions actually were for many years. Overall, I would highly recommend this book!
