Now, I read the synopsis halfway through to make sure I wasn’t missing the understanding of what this book was supposed to be. Yet, I didn’t really grasp all of what it was supposed to me.
Though, I did gain some insight from this read. Nunu is the main character and to me she’s struggling with her identity. She knows who her family expects her to be, her boyfriend tries to show her the complexities of her relationships and still she’s confused.
Ultimately Nunu realizes that she doesn’t have to pretend anymore.
The short chapters made this book digestible, but reading this from the main characters point of view made the purpose of this book very hard to reach.
