Just Kids by Patti Smith
5.0
I only vaguely knew of Patti before reading this, and I can't even say I'm familiar with her music or poetry. But, damn, if this isn't just a beautiful memoir of friendship. Patti's unique position not just as a creator in her own right, but even more so as a fly on the wall for a cavalcade of famous artists makes this story as relatable as it is gorgeously written. It is the epitome of the bohemian dream as two people's lives weave around, away, and back toward each other, resulting in a narrative that is engrossing and inspiring.
