The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
5.0
A fantastic novel. Though the end leans too heavily on letters and monologs for exposition, the novel as a whole is a gripping tale about love, literature, revenge, and redemption, all while being love letter to the city of Barcelona. The characters all feel so fleshed out and real, and you find yourself emotionally invested in nearly all of their lives by the end. Highly recommended for anyone, but especially those who love mystery and books.
