I was so pleasantly surprised by "Butcher & Blackbird." It was so different, charming and humorous. With all that, I looked forward to "Leather & Lark." Unfortunately, it was a big letdown for me. The entire thing felt off from the characters to the pacing and the romance. The witty humor from the first one didn't translate and every plot point felt ridiculous. I found myself bored with Lachlan and Lark as I was unable to connect with them. 

"Leather & Lark" lacked all the fun that made "Butcher & Blackbird" so enjoyable.
