After seeing the teaser for Witcher 4 I thought, "Maybe I should tune into this whole Witcher thing." 

But this book... was not that enjoyable to read. I don't think the short stories were even that good. And more importantly it's full of misogyny and it's honestly just disgusting. Excuses like 'oh it's a part of the world building' are ridiculous to me because how is any of this adding to the world building exactly it's completely unnecessary. I was expecting it to be that way going into the book but it ended up being worse than I thought. 

Anyways, I'm still going to give the next book a try. And I'm not sure if I want to play the video games anymore I've heard that Witcher 3 is so good but if the plot is anything like this book... I don't care for it.
