Three-Day Town by Margaret Maron

4.0

27 January 2025: Somehow liked it much better this time around. It was interesting to have it set outside NC. And I still really like having Sigrid’s story interwoven with Deborah’s.

Previous reread: This wasn't quite as satisfying as previous Deborah Knott books have been, but it was great to see her start to interweave Sigrid's life with Deborah's. It's been a long time since I read the Sigrid Harald books (and I'm not sure I've read them all), but I remember really loving them.

She's a really good writer and has really developed Deborah's character over time (I love how she's grown into her role as stepmother to Cal).

So, not my favorite Deborah Knott mystery, but the promise of more with Sigrid is wonderful.
