I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai

3.0

(read as ebook)
What's it about?
It's a memoir/autobiogrpahyy of Malala Yousafzai, a teenage girl who grew up in Pakistan's Swat valley, speaking up for girl's education. She was shot by the Taliban for her advocacy. It's not just Malala's story, but there's also discussion of the work of her father (who was an activist) and Pakistan history.

What did I think?
I like it. Good to learn a bit about perspective and experience of a brave young women growing up in Pakistan. Much different from my home. Book felt a bit disjointed. Would have benefited from tighter editing.
