It was a coincidence that I ended up reading this right after Fleishman is in Trouble, because they're kind of similar in that they're contemporary real-world stories about people and their relationships, marriages, children, parents, divorce, etc. But this one is way better. The people are lovable, the mystery is twisty and intriguing, the overall tone is hopeful and helpful rather than just grim. I thought it was quite lovely. And also funny.
