Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
5.0
Five things I did after finishing Clockwork Princess:
1. think about the book and cry.
2. search for fan arts and cry.
3. listen to sad music and cry.
4. run to friends and cry.
5. sob and scream: AAAAAAAHHHH.
I am broken for life. I just cried and felt as if my heart shattered into a million pieces. Yes, the epilogue KILLED me. This book was beautifully heart-wrenching with the perfectest conclusion ever. *screams* I am broken, physically, mentally and emotionally. Ms. Cassandra Clare enjoys seeing us in pain.
Clockwork Princess easily picks off where the previous books left.
Jem and Tessa are engaged. Though Jem is dying from his illness and Tessa remains targeted by Mortmain. Will tries to recover from his heartbreak after finding out about the curse and tries to move on. Charlotte is still being tested on her leadership by the Consul. On the bright side, She and Henry are having their first child. There are also new members of the institute - the Lightwood Brothers and Cecily Herondale. And my Sophie, is finding her love and passion.
Each of them faces their own battles while the real war with Mortmain and the evil forces is still brewing and coming near.
The whole amazing trilogy was a mix of plot and character driven and also medium-paced, since it started quite slow. CC's writing style here was average, not the best yet not the worst. This book also made me forgot the fact that I dislike long chapters because I was just so completely fascinated and intrigued by the story. Plus points for the multiple points of views because reading through Tessa's pov in the past two books was getting to bore me.
I love how the problems were resolved in the end, I was sad and happy for it. Now, let's talk about these lovable characters.
Tessa. I liked her in the first book, disliked her in the second one, and now, I love her! No, she was not weak. Yes, she was brave, strong, and I admire her development and the things she did in the end. ah, the pain she's feeling and i'm getting.
Will, my love and Jem, my other love. I could feel the pain in my heart ah. They deserved so much and they got it. Oh goodness. Will's curse, what he all went through. and Jem's sickness, what he all went through. My heart ached for them both!
I believe in, "Herongraystairs Forever". These three all dearly loved each other so bad. The non toxic relationship they had- instead of getting mad at each other and feeling jealous, they would die for each other's happiness instead and it was just so pure. Don't forget Will and Jem's brotherly bond and love that no one can break, ah so sublime!

Will loves jem and tessa. jem loves will and tessa. tessa loves will and jem. Again, I'm broken. Tell me a splendidly better executed love triangle than this, i'll try to wait. (spoiler alert : I'm impatient)
