A sex talk!
Those moronic morons were trying to have a sex talk with me! I knew what nipples did; my mother had been more than willing to flash hers around and I saw exactly how it had affected the men in our village. The difference was that I wasn’t deliberately doing it. I couldn’t be bothered acting like a blushing little ninny every single time they got uncomfortable.
They needed to learn to deal.

“There’s something wrong with that couch,” I accused, pointing to the piece of furniture that I had kicked.
They looked at it, and then back at me. “I don’t see anything wrong with it,” Siret stated dryly. “How is it offending you, exactly?”
“Never mind,” I muttered, tucking my chin to my chest and moving on.
I hadn’t hallucinated that, had I? The couch really had … flown from my kick.

“I really am the dumbest dweller she’s ever met,” I admitted, standing up. I looked her over, noting the gash on her forehead and the spaghetti covering her clothes. I needed to cover this up.
[...]
Having no other option, I ran to the nearest supply closet, yanked open the door, and hunted down a bedsheet. I then hurried back to Fakey and tossed it over her. Not exactly subtle and inconspicuous, but I didn’t really have many options. One of the boys was going to check on me at any moment—and I didn’t want them to see me dragging the crazy-assed-sol down the hallway by her legs. I also couldn’t report the incident, because no excuse would be good enough. The sacred sol was pretending to be my best friend, so that she could stab me, but my bowl of spaghetti saved me, and then she head-butted it, and now she’s unconscious.

He stepped on his friend’s finger and didn’t even flinch, so I supposed we were all cloaked again. Until his eyes found me, just as the other guard’s had.
“Dweller?” he questioned, a click before a frying pan clanged loudly against his face.
“Stop doing that!” I yelled at Siret. The new guard fell onto the old one, forming a small pile of lank limbs in front of the door.
“What else am I supposed to do?” Siret asked.

The urge to get rid of him was building, clamping around my neck with less gentleness and more urgency.
“I HAVE MY PERIOD!” I choked out in an abrupt shout.
The smile dropped off his face again and both of his eyebrows shot up, framing his face in a perfect display of shock.
“Right,” he said. “I guess I’ll … just … leave you to it, then?”
He seemed to be asking for my permission, but when I only gave him a dumb look in response, he quickly backed out of the room.

“So … penises, right? I mean … just wow, so many penises. What would a girl even do with that many penises together in one place?” Shut up Willa. What the hell is wrong with you?
There was a beat of silence and then suddenly the room was filled with laughter. Full bellied, hold-yourself-up-on-your-knees, can’t-breathe-or-talk kind of laughter.
Meanwhile, I remained locked down, red-faced, unable to figure out where my very obvious issues stemmed from.

Delicious.
It was really delicious, and I needed more. I must have been thirstier than I thought. “Another!” I yelled, holding the goblet in the air, before slamming it down onto the table with as much force as I could manage.

“You need to back off,” Coen snarled at Yael, ignoring me completely. His hands crashing into Yael’s chest, sending him stumbling back several steps. “I saw her first.”
“Actually,” Siret interrupted, his voice a low growl. “I saw her first.”
“Actually!” I raised my voice above all of them, trying to get their attention. “There was a healer back in the seventh ring who definitely saw me first, although I’m pretty sure she regrets helping my mother give birth to me. Or if she didn’t before, she will once she hears about all the great work I’ve been doing in Blesswood.”

“I’m not telling you where we are. No one knows of this place and I would like to keep it that way.”
His words were curt again as he brushed by me, stepping out of the bedroom we were in, through the large and open archway, and into a living area. White couches were spread across the space, and huge fluffy rugs covered the stone floors. There was a fireplace with coals inside that were still glowing from a fire that had burnt-out.
Hurrying after him, I busted out breathlessly, “What do you mean no one knows? No one has ever been here?”
He slanted a smirk in my direction. “No one of importance. Do you know what that means?”
“You need a life?”
That smirk grew a few inches as he changed direction and strode right up to me. I froze, unsure if I should run or not. But really, where would I go in this round stone cave? He paused a foot from me, before leaning in so close that our faces were only an inch apart. “It means that I’m going to have to kill you.”
I swallowed hard. “You must really like your privacy.”
He straightened, giving me a tad more breathing room. “She’s learning.”

“You’re wrong,” I stated, and I was proud that I sounded almost calm. “I do have a solution.” I released Rome and slipped past Coen, moving to stand in front of Cyrus.
When I was almost there, I stumbled over absolutely nothing, and fell face-first onto the ground. Deliberately. Nobody else seemed to realise it was deliberate, though. I could hear Coen groaning beneath his breath as I reached out for a rock on the ground. An arm looped around my middle, and I quickly gripped the rock as I was set back onto my feet. Coen had been the one to pick me up, but it looked like Cyrus had attempted to, because Rome was holding him back at arm’s length.
“Was that your grand plan?” Cyrus asked, his tone condescending. He shifted a look to Rome, who backed off.
“I don’t know,” I stepped forward and swung the rock at his head as hard as I could. “You tell me.”
I connected with his skull and the crunch was almost sickening. His pale eyes went wide, and his hand pulled up halfway to his head, as though he would touch the spot where I had smashed the rock, before it fell down again, completely slack. I watched as his large body crumpled.

Though to be fair, I could be the most mandane and magicless being in all of existance but I would set things on fire with my mind if Coen & Aros put their hands on me with that delicious intent. ♥ I would had spontaneously combust most likely and taken everything & everyone around with me. (^_^)
