This book is absolutely gut-wrenching. While I understand that it wasn’t what most of us expected in the end and overall, the book definitely fulfilled  its purpose: which was making the reader uncomfortable with the dark themes presented in the book. Remember, books with themes such as these aren’t supposed to make it an easy or enjoyable read.
