King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

HELLO CHILDREN, AND WELCOME TO MY REVIEW.

Okay, this book tore at my heart. My poor, broken heart. Every time Matthias' name was mentioned? I cried a little. Probably actually cried when Nina buried him. That crap hurted.

So, what exactly is going on in this book? I'm glad you asked. So Nikolai is still turning into that shadow monster thing, and Zoya is basically his babysitter. Meanwhile, Nina is off in Fjerda (which I still have no idea how to pronounce,) on a secret mission.

Next stop on our journey, characters!

Zoya: I hate her less now after learning her past (Child bride, talk about terrible,) but I still don't like her character. At all. I just find her too arrogant and annoying, too closed off and cold. Not Kaz cold. Just...cold. Especially since she switched sides in the war after .02 seconds, which I'm still bitter over.

Nikolai: Baby boi. Baby. I love him. King of questionable decisions.

Nina: She's my favorite Crow, what else can I say? She's definitely the best character in the book (Sorry Nikolai, but it's true,) and watching her slowly recover over Matthias' death is one of the saddest storylines I have read. Still not over Matthias, Leigh.

Hanne: I love her and I hope she and Nina end up together because I CAN SEE IT HAPPENING.

Isaak/Isaac/however you spell it: I'm so pissed off that he died. Not my boy, my precious imposter king boy.

All in all, good book. I hate Elisveta? Elizabeta? sm tho.
