it felt like i was falling in love for the first time once again. that's simply the best way to describe it but there is also fear, grief, sadness that i simply will never feel, which makes me feel even worse. i cannot express how much i felt during reading it.
this book is perfect. i wouldn't be surprised if it becomes my new favorite book, too. absolute banger of a debut freaking novel!!!!
edit on 28/08/2023:
i've read it once more and although it took me more time to get through it i'm happy that i went slowly with this gem of a book. i love this book with all my heart, it's one of my most treasured pieces of literature and i'll never let it go. it's been what? like a year and i still think it's one of the greatest things I've read in my reading journey.
my feelings were very similar to those of the protagonist and i'll not elaborate on more. i'll just simply say that i also love and i also fear (not in the same way! pls don't misunderstand me). i can't wait for my next re-read of this baby!
