4 stars — You know what? This was not as crazy and over the top as I’d been expecting. I think Max Monroe rides that line for me, where my secondhand embarrassment just gets to be too much, and in general this one survived my cringe test.

I think part of what helped me enjoy this book even more were the narrators. I’d only listened to one from Ms. Rose before, but she was sassy and funny, with great comedic timing and great voices. And this was my first by Mr. Snow, but damn that low voice was sexy and fun to listen to! He had his own great pacing and timing, and could dish up some deadpan like no ones business. I also enjoyed his voices, even his female voices — and that doesn’t happen that often necessarily for me (I’m pretty fussy). So there’s a large part of me that knows that I probably enjoyed this book even more because I listened to it…I have a feeling it would have been a 3.5 or lower otherwise.

As for our two main characters? Well, Six was pretty bold and sassy and hilarious. Occasionally she would go a bit too far with her pranks and protecting herself, but I hung in there with her anyways. I loved that she could pull off the straight man so well, and you could feel her passion for her job. I wouldn’t have minded seeing her actually interact with her parents at some point, but at least we got to see her chat with her BFFs.

And Sean was exactly as he’s described in the blurb — cocky BEYOND belief. But for some reason it didn’t bother me too much. Maybe because Six was always knocking him down a peg? Maybe because you could tell that there was more to him? That other than the cockiness, he had a pretty good head on his shoulders and he worked hard to earn the confidence he had. He didn’t take his job for granted.

The steamy scenes were pretty solid. The prolific penis talk got a bit much for me, but I wasn’t surprised by it. I wish we’d gotten to see them together with their feelings a bit more — it was a lot of lust since they were both hiding their feelings in one degree or another. But I did love that you could feel their friendship as well.

The guys from the team were pretty hilarious. I loved the way Six fit into the group so well. And it was interesting to see Cassie and Thatcher. I’ve still avoided their story, and while they had some fun moments in this one, I can tell that I might have to permanently skip their story — I’m pretty sure it would cross the line for me.

All in all it was fun, it gave me laughs, and I highly recommend the audio because the narrators were delightful!
