I almost gave this book 4.75 stars, because I felt almost embarrassed about giving a book like this 5 stars. But for me, this was a 5 star book.
I loved the way it talked about rumours and female sexuality and how sex can impact a girl's reputation/future in comparison to a boy's. Gen had more complexity, even Chris wasn't as one-dimensional 'bad girl'. Kitty's relationship with Peter, Josh moving on from Margot and his new relationship with LJ.
The love triangle was very well done too. I completely understood LJ's struggle, her desperation to cling to the innocence of the girl she was via John Ambrose McClaren as she grows into a more mature Lara Jean by way of her relationship with Peter.
I loved this book. This is the book teen me needed to read.
