Mortgage of Convenience by Dani McLean
3.0
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me this arc of Mortgage of Convenience.
Unfortunately, this was DNF for me. I felt myself dragging along to read it, I’m not sure if it’s just I’m not in the mood for how this book is flowing or what, but also it just didn’t keep me interested like I had thought it would when requesting this title. That’s not to say the writing is terrible or the story didn’t flow, it just wasn’t my cup of tea at the moment and the pacing kind of caught me off guard. Along with the MC, Bee and just how she reacts to situations + her big secret which was a little underwhelming, I figured it would be something bigger and more dramatic.
I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who likes romance, forced proximity, age gap and many other tropes that I know many people love. It’s a book I may have to come back to in the future and give another try.
