True to its title the book is joyful and very full of trauma! It's not what I expected, but was an enjoyable listen and a good memoir. Paul had even more of a fucked up childhood than he's said previously. I'm happy he's been able to turn it into comedy and it's in a healthy place now.
Fans of HDTGM: Never fear, this is almost all unheard stories! The audiobook has some clips from the show in between chapters as palate cleansers, which are needed especially in the first half of the book.
