The Joker: Death of the Family by Scott Snyder

3.75

Really excellent Joker story. I had read the main thrust before in Batman and Detective as they came out but this was the first time I read all the tie-ins. Some were better than others - I really didn't enjoy the Red Robin or Teen Titans issues simply because I don't really enjoy those characters, but other than that (too long for my tastes) section this was good start to finish. There were a couple of instances when I thought, oh, if I hadn't read this series as a whole I wouldn't understand that - like Joker having been in the Batcave - but overall it held together as a standalone story really well.

Greg Capullo's art is just perfect for this kind of story. The detail! You can SMELL that gross rotten face.
