Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett

5.0

I have been holding off reading this book for some time. It’s been described as “cozy fantasy” and I usually like high stakes that really propel the plot. However I loved this book! It was positively delightful. The writing is both beautiful and completely readable. I love the way Fawcett goes about describing the world and detailing the actions of the characters through her prose. And speaking of characters, the entire cast is fantastic. I loved Emily and Wendell especially. This book had me laughing several times and my attention did not waver. Immediately picking up book 2.
