The Grieving Brain: The Surprising Science of How We Learn from Love and Loss by Mary-Frances O'Connor

emotional hopeful informative inspiring reflective medium-paced
This is a great read to understand the science of grief. We all know we grieve in different ways, yet our brains work in similar ways through grief. At first our brains do not believe that someone is really and truly gone, so we are actually battling our brains to believe reality.  Lots of great studies and science explore the many ways our brains can help us through grief too. A great read for anyone who is grieving or supporting someone who is, so pretty much a great read for everyone.
