This book gets a big MEH from me. I’m a big soccer fan and have watched him play for ages, so I am tangentially interested in David Beckham, but this book felt like a nonstop, completely biased and poorly written hate campaign against the entire Beckham family. Especially against Victoria, so it also had a hint of misogyny. The reporting on the accounts and finances and tax loopholes etc etc was all incredibly boring and tedious, and often incomprehensible.

Besides all of that, one thing I just can’t get past in books is typos. And about 90% of the time the author was referring to Major League Soccer, he abbreviated it MSL instead of MLS. So I would’ve given this 3 stars but since they can’t even abbreviate properly, it gets only 2.
