I stumbled upon Claire Fraise's YouTube channel and am in love with her how-to writing videos and her inspirational journey from aspiring teen writer to award winning author. I bought this book in support but after finishing this book I can say that I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I haven't touched a YA book in awhile, but this book took me back to my middle school adventure loving days and if Stranger Things x Everlost had a baby, this would be the lovechild .

I thought some of the plot pacing and POVs between the characters could have been improved--

Can we get some more POV airtime for Francesca and Jonah, anyone? I had thought them having POVs in the book would have made them main characters, but interestingly, their situations don't really change in the book at all.

and there are still a myriad of questions I have that never fully got answered, but I was thoroughly entertained every step of the way. I definitely want to see more of these characters, and the world of ghosts, and what's in store for the town of Bethany, and I would definitely get my hands on the next book when t releases. UPDATE: The author announced Book 2’s release April 12, congrats!! I will be making a purchase soon:)
