The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

5.0

I read this book with my online book club. I have to admit that at first I was going to pass on it after reading the synopsis. The Department in Charge of Magical Youth, sprites, wyverns, and all the other characters seemed a little to sci/fantasy for me. I took a chance and I am so glad I did. This book is delightful, thought provoking, and warmed my heart. I loved all of these weird and magical beings. Klune had me believing this could be real and maybe I should adopt Sal and Talia. I laughed and I cried and I thought about this book after I fell asleep. There are so many things about this book that are relevant to what is going on around us today. Definitely pick this one up.
