The Divines by Ellie Eaton

2.0

memory is such a fragile thing, and this book illustrates this point through very elegant prose and a nostalgic haze amidst the trials and tribulations of adolescence. there is a lot to say here about girlhood, privilege, and the ramifications of our actions towards each other; but, sad to say, although the divines offers up a lush atmosphere, the cast that populates the setting is little more than forgettable and boring, making for a very disappointing experience overall.
