The Dark is a story of a boy who is frightened of the dark. As the story progresses, the dark begins to talk to the boy, who realises that the dark is nothing to be afraid of. This would be a useful story in the classroom for discussing the fears of pupils in the classroom and the way that one might be able to overcome their own fears.
