I’m probably reviewing this more harshly than I normally would because of all the hype and the potential that existed here. There were many parts of this I loved, and it’s definitely another case of “I’m very intrigued by the magic system and couldn’t care less about the romance”
Luckily the romance isn’t a huge plot point, and there’s other really excellent parts of the book as well, from character development and world building. I thought the world and magic system created was fun!
I’ll definitely be reading the next one because of the cliff hanger you get left on so I can only hope the next installment is even better
