Liguori Lecomte has pulled together a unique collection of recipes to honor different geek fandoms, from Pokemon to Star Wars to Breaking Bad. I thought the photo styling for the food was great and appreciated the range of fandoms and recipes. However, I wish Lecomte would have avoided difficult-to-procure ingredients (e.g. squid ink to turn the Matrix Burger buns black instead of food coloring), and difficult-to-create components without detailed instructions (e.g. blue meth candy for Breaking Bad). Overall I'd have no idea where to start buying ingredients like pigeon and rabbit for various recipes, and the amount of effort in other dishes felt quite high, so I didn't end up bookmarking any recipes.
